| Brief History Brent Schools’ Football Association came into being in the mid-sixties, being an amalgamation of the old Wembley Schools’ Football Association and Willesden Schools’ Football Association following local government re-organisation. The two Parent Associations had a history going back to the 1930s. All schools in the Borough are automatically affiliated. We are a voluntary organising various Inter-Schools’ competitions throughout the season for both boys and girls. We also encourage and develop Excellence by running Representative Brent teams at all age levels. These teams enter the National, Middlesex, London and other approved local competitions, and have an on-going programme of friendly games with other Boroughs, giving a regular Saturday morning commitment over the whole season. All these activities are carried out within an Educational framework, with a great emphasis on standards, seeking to improve the mental, moral and physical development of schoolchildren in Brent through the medium of Association Football. Although participation isour essential objective, our successes over the years have been considerable. We have produced an England Team Manager (Ron Greenwood), an England Captain (Stuart Pearce, numerous full International players, many who have played and are playing professionally in the Football League, together with Schoolboy Internationals and Representative players for Middlesex and London Schools’ Football Associations.PAST HOLDERS Sun Shield London Schools Trophy (U14) Sydney Gill Cup London Schools Trophy (U13) Thomas Pear Cup London Schools Trophy (U12) Wagner Trophy London Schools Trophy (U13) National Witney Cup Trophy (U11) Middlesex League Champions in many different age groups over the years!
